Topic Sea Level Evidence — Suppressed Tide Gauge Data — Coastal Property Cover-Up
§ 01 — Part I: They Have The Data. They Always Had It.
NOTE TO SELF: NOAA's internal projections from 1992 showed 40cm rise by 2050. The PUBLIC report said "uncertain." Same data. Different story. — R.

They Have The Data. They Always Had It.

Here's what they know and what they're not telling you. Government agencies — NOAA, the Bureau of Meteorology, CSIRO — have been measuring sea level rise since the 1950s. The data is unambiguous. The oceans are rising. Not in a hundred years. Not in some modelled future. Right now. Every year.

So why don't you hear about it? Because the same governments funding the research also fund the coastal property markets, the tourism industries, the port infrastructure, the insurance frameworks. Telling the public the truth would cost them billions. So instead they bury the reports, soften the language, and ███████████ the projections before release.

"Uncertain." "More research needed." "Within natural variability."
That's not science. That's legal cover.
1992
TOPEX/Poseidon satellite launches. For the first time, precise global sea level data exists. The rise is clear from day one. The public report calls it "within the bounds of natural variation." The internal memo — obtained by this source — does not.
2001
IPCC Third Assessment. Scientists submit findings showing accelerating rise. By the time it reaches the Summary for Policymakers — written by government delegates, not scientists — the numbers have been revised downward three times.

§ 02 — Part II: The Coastal Property Cover-Up
FOLLOW THE MONEY: Australian coastal property = $1.7 trillion in taxable value. If governments admitted the truth, that number collapses overnight. They CAN'T tell you. — check ABS land data

The Coastal Property Cover-Up

In 2009, a leaked risk assessment prepared for the ██████████ Council showed that 23% of residential properties within 500 metres of the coast would be uninsurable by 2040 under a realistic sea level scenario. The report was quietly shelved. The council continued issuing development approvals on the same land.

Insurance companies know. They've been repricing coastal risk for over a decade — quietly, incrementally, hoping nobody notices the pattern. They noticed. IAG, Suncorp, Lloyd's of London. They're not betting against the science. They're betting on it. The question is why the government isn't telling the rest of us what the actuaries already know.

The insurers are pricing in a future the government says doesn't exist.
Someone is lying. It's not the insurers.

§ 03 — Part III: The Evidence They Buried

The Evidence They Buried

Two tide gauge datasets that government agencies have consistently downplayed in public communications. These are not models. Not projections. Not estimates. These are physical measurements — water against a fixed point — taken over more than a century. The trend is not debatable.

What IS debatable is why this data appears in technical appendices and internal briefings but never in press releases, never in ministerial statements, never in the ████████████████ reports handed to the public.

Professor Andrew Short, Sydney University School of Geosciences:
"Australian tides are 25cm higher today than they were 100 years ago."

On claims that Fort Denison tide gauge records disprove sea level rise — he called it "fiction."
"The records do go up and down, but the trend is always up."
200mm Sea level rise recorded at San Francisco — 155 years of continuous NOAA tide gauge data, 1855 to 2010. The trend line is unbroken and accelerating upward.
+120mm Sea level rise recorded at Fremantle, WA — 80 years of BOM tide gauge data. R² = 0.948. In science, that means the fit is near-perfect. There is no honest reading of this data that says "uncertain."
0.948 R² coefficient for the Fremantle trend line. This is not a model. This is physical measurement against a fixed point. The curve is accelerating.

Fort Denison, Sydney Harbour. 110 years of continuous monthly readings. The BOM has had this data the entire time. The trend is +101mm at 0.95mm/year — and accelerating. Source: Bureau of Meteorology / NSW State Records.

SYDNEY HARBOUR. Fort Denison. 110 years of data. +101mm total rise. 0.95mm every single year. This is YOUR harbour. YOUR data. They just didn't tell you about it. — Source: BOM / NSW State Records
NOT A MODEL. Not a projection. Not a simulation. A gauge. Bolted to a rock. In Sydney Harbour. Since 1914. — R.
◆ Exhibit B — San Francisco Tide Gauge // 1855–2010 // NOAA Archive

155 years of continuous data. San Francisco. Hard bolted to the same rock since 1855. The trend is +200mm and accelerating. This was in the NOAA archive the whole time — publicly available, never publicised. Source: NOAA Tides and Currents / Permanent Service for Mean Sea Level.

155 YEARS OF DATA. San Francisco. Continuous record since 1855. The trend is +200mm and accelerating. This was in the NOAA archive the whole time. — publicly available, never publicised
WHY SF? One of the longest continuous records on Earth. Hard to argue with 155 years of a gauge bolted to the same rock. No models. No adjustments. Just water. — R.

R² = 0.948 In science, that means the fit is near-perfect. There is no honest reading of this data that says "uncertain." There is only the reading they want you to have. — R.
◆ Exhibit D — Global Sea Level Rise // Satellite & Tide Gauge Records

Global sea level rise — the full picture. Not one harbour. Not one coastline. The entire ocean. Rising.

GLOBAL. Not a local anomaly. Not a tidal fluctuation. Every ocean. Every coastline. The same direction. Up. — satellite + tide gauge consensus
AND ACCELERATING. The rate of rise is increasing. That's not in the models. That's in the measurements. Right now. — R.

§ 04 — Part IV: What They're Protecting
THE PACIFIC: Tuvalu. Kiribati. Marshall Islands. People losing their homes RIGHT NOW. Classified as "migration issues." Not climate. Not sea level. Migration. — UN internal classification

What They're Protecting

The suppression isn't accidental. It's structural. Governments that acknowledge sea level rise face immediate legal liability for approving coastal development, for not relocating infrastructure, for failing to warn citizens. Councils that published honest risk maps have been ██████████████████ under planning legislation.

In the Pacific, whole nations are disappearing. The Australian government calls it a "complex displacement challenge." The people of Tuvalu call it losing their country to the ocean. One of those descriptions appears in government briefing documents. The other appears on the nightly news. They are not the same document.

"The data exists. It has always existed.
The question was never what the water is doing.
The question is who benefits from you not knowing."

FINAL NOTE: If this document has reached you, pass it on. The tide gauges don't lie. The governments reading them do. The water doesn't care who you voted for. — FILE DATE: 18.03.2026 // SOURCE PROTECTED
